Biography
Dr Iain MacLeod is a lecturer in Strategy and Policy. He teaches on various aspects of strategy and public policy, and has led the research component of several projects over the past ten years, including several focussing specifically upon skills in the oil and gas industry. He has published widely, including consultancy reports, conference papers, journal articles and book chapters on skills use in the oil and gas industry, autonomous working, Scottish devolution, and the theory and practice of institutional design and change. Teaching responsibilities include the following modules: - International Organisations - Globalisation - Management Studies for Law - Strategic Analysis for the Energy Sector - Management Concepts.
Research Interest
Research interests include the following: - Participatory / deliberative democracy - Devolution - Oil and gas employment / economics - Strategic management - Skills utilisation - Political representation - Social marginalisation.
