Biography
After graduating from RGU with a BA Hons (with distinction) in Internal Marketing Management, Tracy worked at the university as a research assistant for a number of years. She focused on a wide range of projects where she gained experience of developing research in oil and gas, but also supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to engage with academia, through projects such as Women in Business and Business Skills for Growth (both funded by the European Social Fund). Tracy Pirie is now a lecturer in Communications, Marketing and Media. She teaches on a range of undergraduate modules, including: Marketing, Managing in the Creative Industries, Advertising Communications, New Business Start Up in the Creative Industries and Business Creativity. Tracy is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and is involved with RGU’s Swiss partner programmes in Zurich and Lucern. Tracy is actively involved in supporting RGU’s student led Marketing Society, established in 2015.
Research Interest
Tracy’s research interests reflect her interdisciplinary background in her time at RGU and include the following themes: Student Enhancement; Oil and Gas Health and Safety; Women’s Career Development in Scotland.
