Dr. John Hickey is affiliated to Department of Genetics and Genomics, Roslin Institute, where Dr. John Hickey is currently working as Professor. Dr. John Hickey has authored and co-authored several national and international publications and also working as a reviewer for reputed professional journals. Dr. John Hickey is having an active association with different societies and academies around the world. Dr. John Hickey has received several awards for the contributions to the scientific community. Dr. John Hickey major research interest involves  AlphaGenes focusses on the development and application of quantitative genetics methods and computational approaches for animal and plant breeding programs collected at the AlphaSuite. Currently our overarching research aim relates to the development of what we call Genomic Selection 2.0. We envisage that GS2.0 would be underpinned by huge quantities of sequence data generated at low cost and could enable several new ways of driving genetic improvement and biological insight..
