Research Interest
I am a geographer whose research interests align with the methods and philosophy of the liberal arts and humanities. My areas of expertise are in historical geography, colonialism and postcolonialism, South Asian studies, critical theory, cartography and visual culture, border studies, and the history of geography. I also have interests in the digital humanities, gaming and virtual reality, photography, and literature, particularly drama. From January-June 2017, I held a Carnegie Research Incentive Grant for a project titled, ‘Geography’s Decolonisation: Re-ordering territory and producing geographical knowledge in the midst of decolonisation’. I co-host a podcast, State of the Theory.
