Biography
Professor Wellbrock is searching for key molecules that fuel the uncontrolled growth and spread of melanoma cells. She is particularly interested in discovering the chain of events inside the cancer cells that enables them to break away from a tumour and travel to other parts of the body. Understanding more about how melanoma develops and spreads will help to identify new targets for drug development, make current treatments more effective and could change the outlook for patients with advanced melanoma in the future.
