Biography
Joan Braca, joined Tate & Lyle in January 2013 initially serving as Senior Vice President & General Manager, Asia Pacific. She was then appointed as President, Speciality Food Ingredients from November 2014. Prior to joining Tate & Lyle, Joan spent nearly 20 years in the specialty chemicals industry mainly with Rohm and Haas Company (part of the Dow Chemical Company since 2009). She has a diverse background with experience in engineering, manufacturing, sales management and over a decade in General Management. During her career she has worked in several locations including Singapore, China, Sweden and the USA. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University, USA and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from Temple University, USA.
