Biography
After gaining a civil engineering degree at Teesside University, Darren spent three years researching his PhD: ‘A Knowledge-Based Computer System for the Engineering Management of Housing Subsidence Cases’. Papers based on this were published in a number of engineering-related journals including Construction and Architectural Management, Computer Methods in Structural Masonry, Developments in Computer-Aided Design and Modelling for Structural Engineering.
Research Interest
Darren’s research interest is generally within the field of civil engineering around topic he teaches. The focus of his PhD supervision is currently in risk management.
