Biography
Marcus Diamond after completing an MA Sequential Design, Marcus founded the multi-disciplined studio/design company Neasden Control Centre. This allowed him as an art director to work at the crossroads of animation and motion graphics, print and product, illustration, installation and exhibition. Client roster included the likes of Action Aid, Diesel, Esquire, Island Records, MTV, Playboy and Rome Snowboards. The company was recently placed 85 in the 200 Best Design Moments Ever in 2012, by Computer Arts Magazine. Two monographs have been published worldwide by Die Gestalten Verlag. Operating freelance Marcus has overseen a variety of campaigns and projects including Amnesty International, BBC, mima, and The Batlic. Exhibiting regularly, Marcus has exhibited internationally including at The Centre de Cultura Contemporania de Barcelona, The File sharing Gallery Berlin, The Modart Festival Munich, The Punct Gallery Tilburg Holland, and at The National Gallery London.
Research Interest
Marcus Diamond driven by narrative, concepts and image-making, specifically through materials, drawing and mark-making. He is also keen to develop cross-culture design principals across different technology new and old, all of which informs his teaching.
