Biography
Dr Alexandra Taylor is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist specialising in the treatment of primary and recurrent gynaecological cancers with radiotherapy, brachytherapy, Cyberknife treatment and chemotherapy. She is Chair of the London Cancer Alliance Gynaecology Oncology Pathway Group.She subsequently completed an MD thesis at St Bartholomew’s Hospital and the University of London. Her research focused on the development of novel radiotherapy techniques with IMRT for cervical cancer. She was supported by a grant from the Royal College of Radiologists and the work has been published and presented at international meetings.
Research Interest
Dr Taylor has a particular interest in advanced radiotherapy technologies, including IMRT, image-guided brachytherapy and CyberKnife treatments. She is actively involved in research, with ongoing projects exploring novel radiotherapy techniques for recurrent gynaecological cancer, IMRT applications and integration of functional imaging with radiotherapy planning. She is a member of the National Clinical Studies Group for Gynaecological Cancer.
