Research Interest
My research focuses on two related interdisciplinary themes: the policy and management of technology,in public sector, private sector and in public-private networks; and, development policy and practice, with emphasis on industrialization and technology. Key research projects include those on technological change and innovation, academic-industrial knowledge exchange, Scottish science and innovation, R&D and corporate strategies, risk and precautionary regulation. In development policy and practice the focus has been on technological capabilities and industrialization. Results have been included in national development practices in various countries.
