Research Interest
He is currently involved in an EU project TriSOFC, which involves the development of a novel single component solid oxide fuel cell that uses the waste heat for heating and cooling. The work involves modelling, simulation, experimental work and field trials. He is also involved in the modelling and experimental investigation of a hybrid vapour-compression/jet-pump refrigeration system for the transport sector. by using carbon dioxide as the refrigerant in the vapour-compression system and a natural refrigerant such as water or ethanol in the jet-pump system. The jet-pump system will be driven by waste heat from the exhaust gases of an internal combustion engine.
