Roger Merchant

Biography

 Roger is an experienced partner who joined UHY Hacker Young from BDO in 2016. Previously, Roger worked in London and Warsaw as a partner for PWC, before moving to the East Midlands 20 years ago. Roger focuses on charity and family businesses, and has a real specialism within the construction sector. In addition to audit and assurance services, he offers internal audit, due diligence and corporate finance advice to his clients.   Roger is a Trustee and Chair of the Audit Committee with Derby Museums and represents Leicester and Northampton on the National Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. He is a Director of Leicester Business Voice, ensuring business needs are taken into account by key decision makers.   In his spare time, Roger is a Leicester City season ticket holder and a keen golfer.
