Biography
Tosin is a research fellow at the Health Economics Unit (HEU). He is working on the economic evaluation of screening strategies for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), and he is collaborating with the PREDNOS trial team to determine the cost-effectiveness of prednisolone therapy in children with steroid sensitive nephrotic syndrome (SSNS). Due to his role in the PREDNOS trial and his strong clinical background, Tosin has developed particular interest in the evaluation of clinical trials and their wider implication on healthcare policies.
Research Interest
Tosin is currently researching the long-term cost-effectiveness of detecting new cases of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in primary care setting. A further study will also explore the relationship between COPD, occupation, and the wider societal costs, Nephrotic syndrome.
