Biography
Karine has been a full-time lecturer in French at the University of Buckingham since September 2009. She is a Senior Lecturer and currently Acting Head of Modern Foreign Languages. She studied English and German at the University François Rabelais in Tours (France), where she is from. She then obtained a Master’s by Research in Irish Studies at the University of La Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris 3, and went on to do a PhD at the University of Ulster, where she taught French at all levels for eight years. She also taught in various secondary schools and private language schools in Northern Ireland. Her research interest lies in French politics and more particularly in Franco-Irish/British relations.
