Biography
Yingkui gained his BSc in Physical Geography and Environmental Protection in 1983 from Peking University, China and completed his PhD in 2000 on sediment transfer and dispersion of the River Severn, UK. He joined UCLan immediately after completing his PhD to take up teaching in physical geography and environmental courses. Yingkui is a Tribunal Member of the General Regulatory Council (Environment) hearing appeals against Nitrate Vulnerable Zones in England. He is actively engaged with implementation of EU Water Framework Directive in England and provide expert advice on the designation of NVZ. Yingkui is currently acting as the Student Experience Lead for the School of Forensic and Applied Sciences and is responsible for student experience on Forensic, Policing, Archaeology and Geography Programmes.
