Biography
Management responsibilities for staff within the post registration health catre practice team. Overseeing undergraduate and postgraduate programme development and delivery, including Learning Beyond Registration provision. Leading the development of curricula with health and social care partners related to specialist and advanced practice, particularly in relation to the development of the Advanced Clinical Practitioner. Wendy is an experienced District Nurse and community practice educator. She is currently practising as a hospice at home nurse and has extensive community experience in palliative and end of life care. Research Interest
Research project as part of a Doctor of Education programme; examining the support offered to practice teachers in their assessment of higher level nursing practice in community settings. Current research includes a comparison of practice support and assessment for two cohorts of Specialist Community Public Health Nursing students and the role of the advanced clinical practitioner within general practice.
