Biography
Since the early 1970s, She have sought through her research and teaching to promote the development of a strand of cultural geography relevant to planning and environmental policy-making. She joined the geography department of University College London in 1975 and was awarded a personal Chair in 1998. She moved to the School of Environmental Sciences, UEA in 2006, becoming Head of School in 2007. She had been retired from the University in summer 2010.
Research Interest
Cultural geography; social constructions of nature; environmental values and ecosystem services; participatory environmental decision-making; sustainable consumption practices and climate change.
