Research Interest

His principal research areas use geochemical information, particularly stable isotopes, in the reconstruction of environmental and climatic conditions, and the local cycling of elements that impact society (such as carbon, nutrient and contaminant metals). His research covers long temporal scales including modern environments, the recent geological past (Quaternary) and deeper geological time.
