Doctoral Student(MD)in the Institute of Clinical Medicine / Psychiatry at the University of Eastern Finland

Research Interest

I began my PhD research during my medical studies a few years ago, and my project is part of the Kuopio Birth Cohort (KuBiCo) study. The main focus of my PhD research is on maternal antidepressant use and its effects on pregnancy and delivery outcomes. I am also interested in depression and anxiety during pregnancy and in the postpartum period. I am currently conducting my PhD research during my free time, and work as a doctor in primary health care in a small town near Jyväskylä. I relax by dancing (like no one is watching), swimming (in pools, not in lakes) and tasting my husband’s delicious dishes with a nice glass of red wine. I also enjoy knitting woollen socks and reading romantic novels.
