Biography
Dr John Kyle graduated in medicine from the University of Glasgow in 2007 having previously completed a BSc Hons in Toxicology and an MRes in Biomedical Science. He completed foundation training in the west of Scotland before undertaking core surgical training in Yorkshire, obtaining MRCS in 2010. Following this John spent one year as a clinical research fellow in trauma and orthopaedics in Northern Deanery before starting GP training in Ayrshire and Arran in 2012. In 2014/2015 John took a year out of GP training to undertake a Scottish Clinical Leadership Fellowship based at NHS National Services Scotland. On completing GP training in 2016 John started as a GP Academic Clinical Fellowship at the University of Glasgow, combining this role with clinical commitments on a locum basis.
