Biography

I am a Lecturer in the School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow. Prior to joining Glasgow, I was research fellow at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, and post-doctoral researcher at the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas. I was visiting professor at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology thanks to the "Joan and Reginald Coleman-Cohen" fund. I received my Dipl.-Eng. degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, and MSc, PhD degrees in Operations Research, specialising in the modelling, control and optimisation of large-scale transportation networks, all from the Technical University of Crete, Greece. I serve on the Editorial Advisory Boards of Transportation Research Procedia and Transportation Research Part C: Emerging Technologies. I am an active reviewer for a number of renowned journals and conferences in transportation, optimisation and control; and have acted as an expert reviewer for research councils in the UK, EC, US, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Israel, Brazil, and Greece
