Biography
In 2017, Thitima was appointed as Senior Lecturer at Huddersfield Business School. She has gained teaching experience working for higher education institutions in Thailand, South Korea and the UK. Prior to her role as a university lecturer, she worked as an analyst for an international bank. She holds a PhD degree in Finance from the University of Manchester and a Master of Research in Finance (Distinction) from Lancaster University. She is keen to introduce innovative methods of learning and activities into her lectures and to prepare students for employment. For example, she promoted trading simulations into investment courses and organised the equity investment competition, which inspired students for their future career.
Research Interest
Thitima’s research interests include corporate governance in family firms, bank and political connections, CEO and board characteristics, business groups and shareholder interests.
