Dr Emma Mayhew

Biography

Dr. Emma Mayhew is currently working as a Academic Director for Electronic Management of Assessment (EMA) in the Department of Politics and International Relations, University of Reading , United Kingdom. Qualifications and awards: BA (Exeter), MSc (Bristol), PhD (Bristol), 2011-2012 University of Reading Award Outstanding Contribution to Teaching and Learning Responsibilities: I am currently Academic Director of the institution wide Electronic Management of Assessment Project. I have been seconded from the School to undertake this role for the academic year 2016-2017. In the past I have taught the Part One module International Relations and Security Studies, the Part Two modules Comparative Government and Politics and American Government as well as Part 3 modules US Foreign Policy since 1950, UK Politics Since 1960 and British Foreign and Defence Policy since 1945. Previous positions include School Director of Teaching and Learning, Department Director of Teaching ad Learning and School Senior Tutor. I was also lead for a major University funded teaching and learning project, GRASS, designed to support increased use of screen capture technology across the University. I have a keen interest in all areas of teaching and learning, particularly technology advanced learning.
