Biography
Dr. Gui-Ying Yang is currently working as a Senior Research Scientist (NCAS-Climate) in the Department of Meteorology, University of Reading , United Kingdom. Responsibilities: Senior Research Scientist(NCAS-Climate) Research Interests: • Interaction of extratropics and tropics • ENSO impact on equatorial waves • The influence of the QBO on the propagation of equatorial waves • The MJO and associated equatorial waves • African easterly waves • Equatorial waves and their behaviour in observations and models Research Projects: • Fundamental influences of large-scale wave dynamics on tropical weather systems
