Biography
Dr Rajendran Vaiyapuri completed his PhD at the University of Reading, UK in the field of supramolecular chemistry. Upon successful completion, he joined the same department as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant. In 2014, he moved to Singapore where he was appointed as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University where he worked on drug delivery systems. Subsequently he become the Head of Chemistry at Math Vision Enrichment Centre, Singapore. In 2016, he was appointed as a Lecturer in Pharmaceutics at the University of Reading Malaysia.
Research Interest
His research interests are multi-disciplinary in nature and focussed mainly on the following areas: Nanomedicine: Synthesis of novel targeted nanoparticles as drug delivery systems with applications in most challenging circumstances such as cancer and cardiovascular disease. Supramolecular Materials: Design and synthesis of supramolecular materials for biomedical applications. Nanocomposites: Preparation of low density yet high strength supramolecular polymer nanocomposites with applications in aerospace industry.
