Biography
Dr. Simone Magee is currently working as a Academic Director Physician Associate Programme in the Department of Pharmacy, University of Reading , United Kingdom. Responsibilities Simone earned a Medical degree (MBBS) at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in London. She then trained in General Practice (undertaking her hospital-based vocational training at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and her GP training in Tilehurst) and worked in various surgeries in and around Reading for 13 years before joining the University of Reading in 2015 in her role as Academic Director of the new Physician Associate programme. She has also undergone foundation training in acupuncture, in which she still dabbles on occasion. Research Interest
Areas of Interest: Simone's chief clinical interests include medical education, preventative medicine, women's and children's health, and chronic disease management. She is working towards a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education. Her main academic interest is in teaching communication skills and professionalism for healthcare professionals.
