Biography
Mr Timothy Langran is currently working as a Senior Teaching Fellow in the Department of Pharmacy, University of Reading , United Kingdom Responsibilities: Course tutor and lecturer on independent prescribing programme for nurses and pharmacists Tim graduated from The University of Nottingham with an MPharm degree and completed his pre-registration training at Nottingham City Hospital. His early career was spent working at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Clinical Pharmacist and then as a Medicines Information and Formulary Pharmacist. Tim then moved into Primary Care, working in General Practice and as a commissioner. He currently works for Windsor, Ascot & Maidenhead CCG. In this role he is able to continue a theme of his career: to support individuals and populations to get the most out of their medicines. He has particular interest in diabetes, polypharmacy, evidence based practice and expanding the role of clinical pharmacists in primary care. Tim has completed a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy and is qualified as an independent prescriber.
