Biography

Dr. Barbara Pembroke is currently working as a Teaching Fellow in the Department of School of Agriculture, Policy and Development, University of Reading , United Kingdom. I have many years' experience of working with students at undergraduate and higher degree level. I have jointly supervised higher degree students and made supervisory visits to Greece and Kenya. My main research interest has always been focused on nematodes in particular, root-knot nematodes and their biological control. I am interested in the wider subject of biological control and integrated pest management. I currently convene the third year dissertation module and teach on various modules which includes introducing undergraduates and postgraduates to nematodes as plant pests and as beneficials. I have recently become involved with helping to support and sustain a School focused alumni network. Responsibilities: • Module convenor for the undergraduate research project module • Teaching in nematology/ biological control and IPM • School Alumni Liaison Officer • Research groups / Centres: • Crop Production Research Division

Research Interest

My main research interest has always been focused on nematodes in particular, root-knot nematodes and their biological control.
