Dawn Gawthorpe

Biography

Dawn is a member of the School for Midwifery, Nursing, Social Work and Social Science at the University of Salford. She is a Senior Lecturer and C16 Simulated Nurse Lead. In addition Dawn is an External Examiner at the University of Cumbria and is the Strategic Link University Lecturer for Royal Bolton Hospital and sitting on their workforce development group. From 2010 to 2015 Dawn chaired the Assessment Comittee and was responsible for the review of new assessments prior to approval for use and ensuring internal verification was completed. In addition Dawn was the module and programme leader for the Nursing Higher Education Diploma and from May 2010 until September 2015 she was the school Examination and Assessment Lead implementing e-marketing, grade descriptor review and holding marking workshops. As well as managing the day-to-day organisation of academic teams and academic related staff.

Research Interest

Dawn's research interests have been around medicines management having published two chapters in 2011 and she was asked to update this publication but the project is incomplete. Dawn has also just completed the updating of another chapter due for publication 2017.
