Biography
Elizabeth has worked as a staff nurse (severe dementia & later life assessment ward), a research nurse, a ward manager and lecturer practitioner. She has completed a PhD entitled 'A biographical narrative study exploring mental ill health through the life course'. She teaches and supervises across all academic levels and is involved in various research and enterprise projects. She is interested in contemporary recovery concepts, evidence based practice, mental health and ill health in later life, long term mental ill health, life course, age discrimination and dementia.
Research Interest
I have been involved in research and publication in a wide range of issues including age discrimination education for mental health nurses, older people mental health service user consultation, long term mental illness, post traumatic stress disorder, transgender family needs, schizophrenia, dementia.
