Biography
As an ordained minister I spent many years working with young people and their families. I then went to work for a local authority where I continued to work with children and families and joined the staff development section. From here I joined the University of Salford in 2001. I was recruited to teach on the post qualifying social work programme where my main teaching work load remains to this day. Research Interest
I have written on black identity development and how to support the development of healthy identity. I am currently interested in critical reflection and supporting practitioners to think critically.
