Biography
I am a Lecturer in Counselling and Psychotherapy based in the School of Health & Society at the University of Salford. I have spent twenty years teaching and supporting students' academic and personal development in higher education, and over ten years working as a professionally qualified Counsellor. I have spent most of my working life between Greater Manchester and Scotland. Before counselling I trained as a historian; the connection between the two is an interest in how people tell stories that make sense of their lives, identities and relationships.
