Biography
I am Head Mental Health Nursing University of Salford. I qualified in 1994 from The University of Birmingham and completed my Masters degree in Health Sciences in conjunction with becoming a Specialist Practitioner in Mental Health. I developed an interest in supporting people who self-harm and in 2000 became a Lecturer Practitioner at the University/Crisis Service based at Hope Hospital (SRFT). I completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education in 2004 and my PhD focusing on the narratives of people who self-harm in 2009. I hold an Honorary Therapist position whilst undertaking Clinical training as a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist.
