Biography
I joined the University of Sheffield in 2007, having completed the first part of my specialist training in paediatric dentistry in Edinburgh. I completed my NHS clinical training in 2009 and was awarded a 3-year full-time NIHR Doctoral Research Fellowship to support my PhD which I completed in 2015. I am currently a Senior Lecturer/Honorary Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry and the Trent Regional Cleft Lead for Paediatric Dentistry.
Research Interest
My research interests include the development of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) using child-centred methods and validation of PROMs using a variety of techniques including Rasch analysis. Clinically, my particular interests are the care of children with cleft lip and palate and the provision of intravenous sedation for dentally anxious patients.
