Biography
Mr Andrew Lock is a Enterprise Fellow within Engineering and the Environment at the University of Southampton. Andrew Lock received a MEng degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the University of Southampton in 2012. He then joined the Computational Engineering and Design group as a Technical Designer, contributing to the 2Seas 3i and BERISUAS projects as one of the designers of the SPOTTER UAV. More recently, he has worked on CANOPUS, a feasibility study for a low-cost suborbital space launch system, and OPSARS, a project exploring potential for synergy between unmanned aircraft and autonomous underwater vehicles. He was the University representative and safety pilot during Project Albatross, flight trials of the SULSA 3D printed UAV in Antarctica.
