Biography
Dr Keith Holland is Associate Professor within Engineering and the Environment at the University of Southampton. Keith Holland obtained an HND in Mechanical Engineering in 1978 before working for British Aerospace until 1984. He received his BSc degree in Engineering Acoustics and Vibration in 1987 from the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR), University of Southampton, and his PhD for a thesis on horn loudspeakers in 1993 from the same Institute. He has worked continuously as a Research Fellow at ISVR until 1999 when he was appointed a Lecturer. Dr Holland also teaches electroacoustics and audio systems at under- and post-graduate level. He is a member of the Institute of Acoustics and the Audio Engineering Society.
Research Interest
His research interests have included aeroacoustics, aircraft sound insulation, electroacoustics, duct acoustics, numerical modelling, reciprocity, room acoustics, source location, stereo imaging, vehicle noise and vibroacoustics.
