Biography
Professor Luis Baeza is Chair of Railways Dynamics within Engineering and the Environment at the University of Southampton. Before joining the University of Southampton in 2016, he was full Professor at the Technical University of Valencia and Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Liverpool (2007). At the present, he is member of the Dynamic Group in the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research. His research area comprises different fields of railway technology (dynamics of railway vehicles and the track, vibration, corrugation of rails, etc). Prof. Baeza is co-author of more than 70 papers published in international journals and conferences, and inventor of three granted patents that are being exploited by Talgo and RailTech (Pandrol group).
