Biography
Dr Paul C McDonald is Principal Research Fellow within Engineering and the Environment at the University of Southampton. Member of the Energy Technology Research Group and the Faculty’s Research Institute for Industry (RIFI) Specialisation in Cryogenics - properties of materials processes and devices at temperatures down to ~4.2Kelvins. Institutional memberships of : The Institute of Physics, The Institute of refrigeration and The British Cryogenics Council.

Research interests thermal and mechanical properties of materials at very low temperatures cryocoolers and their application in satellite communication systems
