Research Interest
My research focuses on atmopsheric chemistry on Earth, Mars and exoplanets. I'm interested in how atmospheres respond to changing fluxes from biology and volcanic/stellar activity, and in how atmopsheres change over timescales from days to billions of years. In addition to learning from modern and remote observations, I focus on surface/atmosphere interactions that can transfer distinctive atmopsheric signatures into the sedimentary record. I use both a "top-down" approach utlizing numerical modelling and a "bottom-up" approach of using geochemical measurements to constrain paleo-atmospheric composition.
