Biography
Tomasz Kamusella is a reader in Modern history in the department of history from the University of St Andrews, United Kingdom.
Research Interest
Teaches courses on ethnic cleansing and genocide in twentieth-century Europe and on Central Europe during the last two centuries, with an interdisciplinary focus on language politics and nationalism. His research is mainly devoted to the comparative history of mutual influences between politics and language in modern Europe. At present he is working on an Atlas of Language Politics in Modern Central Europe and a monograph that analyzes the political underpinnings of the linguistic classification of the Slavic languages.
