Biography
PhD in heterogeneous selective oxidation of alkenes (1982, T.G. Nevell, Portsmouth). Teacher of chemistry (1982-1987, including St. John' s College Southsea). Postdoctoral research in synthesis of methanol and higher alcohols (1987-1989, R. Burch, Reading). Industrial research and management (1989-2009, Johnson Matthey Technology Centre). Appointed Professor and Deputy Director of the Cardiff Catalysis Institute in September 2009.
