Biography
Dr Michael Woodiwiss received his BA (Hons), M.Phil, D.Phil, F.R.Hist S. Michael Woodiwiss joined UWE in 1996. He holds a degree in US history from the University of Essex and an M.Phil from the University of Sheffield. He obtained a D.Phil in History from UWE in 2003 and became a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society in 2004. His main research interests are the study of organized crime, corporate crime, and corruption and the attempts to control all these types of criminal activity. He collaborates with organized crime control specialists in Europe and the United States, and intends to extend these collaborations with colleagues from the rest of the world.
