Biography
Dr Isabelle Risner is a History and Politics graduate from York University and worked for many years as a journalist and researcher. Her MSc is from Imperial College, London in Environmental Technology. Isabelle first became interested in the use of digital technologies in crafts practice as a student on the Falmouth University Contemporary Crafts BA (hons) course, where she achieved a first class degree in 2007. She pursued this interest as a research student and was awarded her PhD in 2013. Her doctoral thesis is titled: The Integration of Digital Technology into Designer-Maker Practice: a Study of Access, Attitudes and Implications.
