Biography
Before entering teaching, Prof Jacqueline Springer was a freelance print music journalist specialising in contemporary black music. Her work appeared in British broadsheet newspapers The Guardian, The Observer and Independent, lifestyle publications Elle andAttitude and across specialist music titles like Blues & Soul, Touch, True and the NME.
