Biography
Christopher’sbackground is in Occupational Psychology, in which he has completed an MSc from the University of Sheffield’s Institute of Work Psychology (IWP) and an MPhil from Nottingham Trent University.He has recently completed his PhD in Occupational Psychology at the University of Liverpool in 2015, which investigated the lived experiences of unemployed university graduates with common mental health issues.
Research Interest
Christopher’s current research interests revolve around the two main areas of (i) worklessness, unemployment, underemployment and mental health, and (ii) student mental health, readiness to work and employability. He is also interested in a range of research methods and methodological issues, including interview / questionnaire design, scale development and validation, and qualitative methods, especially Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA).
