Biography
During more than twenty years’ experience as a freelance film and video cameraperson and occasionally as director in the UK film and television industry, Dr Wilson has worked on dozens of television commercials, television drama productions, three feature films, many music videos, documentaries and non-fiction productions with crews of the highest calibre. His credits list covers productions using professional formats from 35mm and Super 16 film, to HD and 4K Digital Video, incorporating a wide range of associated technologies. Thus, he retains an abiding passion for professional cinematography for film and television production and moving image aesthetics.

Minor cinemas, e.g. filmmaking using mobile phones; Film festival studies; Contemporary British dramatic fiction film production; Stillness and movement in film; Phenomenological film philosophy - the body, sensation and tactility in screen representation; Italian cinema following the “Anni di piombo”/”Years of Lead” period (late 1960s to early 1980s) to the present.
