Ian Madeley

Biography

Ians early art and design practice was concerned with drawing, illustration and printmaking, he graduated from Liverpool Polytechnic with a B.A. Hons in Graphic Design, and after completing a Postgraduate Art Teaching Certificate worked briefly in Further Education, Design Consultancy and Training before contributing to the establishment of Design for Screen programmes at the University. Since completing an MA with Distinction in Media Arts his practice has become increasingly directed to the production of short film.

Research Interest

Interests Include experimental practice, exploration of territory between photography and film, installation, sound, and performance led actions. Research practice has been informed by looking again at domestic space and the initiation of object re-viewings through re-presentation of the routines and spaces and in which they are reconsidered.
