Biography
I joined the University of Wolverhampton in January 2015. Previous to this I held visiting posts at two universities whilst writing-up my PhD. For my research I used ultrasound imaging to measure the age-related performance of the deep abdominal muscles in addition to extending a tissue-engineered model of skeletal muscle that mimicked the conditions from the ultrasound work. I have presented the results of my research to peers at both national and international conferences. At the Institute of Sport I teach on undergraduate modules in biomechanics, exercise physiology, and research methods and statistics. I am the module leader for 4SR027 ‘Research Skills for Sport and Exercise Science’ and 5SR032 ‘Work Placement for Sport and Exercise Science’.
