Biography
Pritpal is a Senior Lecturer in Film Studies and is working on his thesis for his Educational Doctorate. As the Film Studies placement co-ordinator he has secured student placements with BBC Birmingham as well as several other local media producers. His interest in Blended Learning means that he often uses innovative teaching methods to encourage learning outside of class contact time. He is a published author, delivers papers at external conferences and has several articles under consideration for publication. He developed the first dedicated taught undergraduate module on the concept of ‘Third Cinema’, a traditionally under-explored area, as well as a timely Masters Degree module on ‘Iranian Cinema’.
