Biography
Sandie is a Senior Lecturer in Post Compulsory Education at University of Wolverhampton. She has taught for 20 years in FE in the role as a Teaching and Learning Coach and Teacher Educator. Alongside this role Sandie has worked for the Institute for Learning, later the Educational Training Foundation. Her special interest is improving the experience of students through supporting and educating teachers to engage with student centred approaches and innovative activities. Sandie is very interested in the opportunities within HE to include transition courses, such as the leap programmes already offered, and how this provision could be expanded across the faculty. The ‘Train the Trainer’ programmes are also a special interest to her and she would like to be more involved with this curriculum development in the near future.
